I'm selling my Studiomaster Mixdown Classic 8 (16:16:2 - 8 buss). The EQ is pretty great on this smaller desk. I haven't been using this console for a while now. I'm currently building a "one room" studio and I'm installing a MCI JH416 in it.
This desk has a few problems though, so this would be a good project for someone that has the time and skill. The phantom power on the desk is very flakey, some days some channels work fine and the next they don't. Some of the channels sound like they need to be recapped as well. Since I don't really need the console and it's kind of flakey at this point, I'm taking offers. Every offer will be taken into consideration with preference going to those who act quickly. I'm in Nashville, so if you are close, even better. I really don't want to ship this thing, but if you are willing to make shipping arrangements, I'll help as much as I can.
Here are some specs on the console:
Input Channels:
Mic & line & tape input jacks+
send/return insert & 'tape out' direct out jacks on every channel
individual phantom power IN/OUT switches
TAPE switch and a 20dB pad switch
hi-feq shelving eq
280Hz - 8KHz mid sweep eq with 16dB boost/cut
25Hz - 350Hz sweep bass eq with 16db boost/cut
6 aux-sends, 3 post fade aux sends, and an additional aux4 /5 shared send, (4 post, 5 pre) then aux 6 is fixed pre-fade.
pan, fader - red 'SOLO' PFL switch & peak LED indicator
Channel IN/OUT button with green led indicator
L/R mix-IN & sub-group/buss assignment buttons
Midi mute automation
Rack mount power supply with brand new cable to run from console to power supply. The power supply was recently checked by a tech and everything is good to go on it.
Here is an article/review on the console:
Studiomaster Mixdown Classic 8 Review
This is a chance for someone to buy a console that would normally sell for much more. I've seen these in good condition go for around $1-1.5k recently.

Michael is correct, this console does sound pretty great. The problems with it could probably be fixed fairly easily, but not 100% sure. People have stated that the inserts on these boards sometimes corrode easily and sometimes just cleaning the inserts brings the channel back to life.
Anyway, I'm bumping this. I've had quite a few interested, but nothing has panned out. Let me know.
