Rent my rehearsal space and bedroom(same loft!!) NYC!!!
I have a loft in east burg, seconds from the morgan ave stop that is in need of a subletee
the sound-proof rehearsal space (9x15x8) is in the loft and is fully equipped with a PA. you would be sharing the 1000sq ft loft with one other person who also has a band. this is an incredible loft with high ceilings, a back wall full of windows, full heat and water, directly across the street from both bar and grocery store. $900 a month plus bills (they may seem high but you can charge your band then it becomes incredibly affordable) sublet is from jan till at least april probably longer
pass this on to a friend if u know someone

that is pricey, I am not too far from there and I pay a lot less. The morgan ave area is a little scary too. Plus, those lofts eat up heat and never get warm. A $300/month heating bill is nothing out of the ordinary for a loft like that. Just something to consider.

i wish it were possible for us, the people of ny, to start refusing to pay the rent that people are asking for... it's FUCKING INSANE... and there are enough idiots from wherever that will pay it... but it's really getting out of hand. i mean, not to be rude, but you are getting totally taken paying that much. it's like the realtors listing Myrtle Ave. and Bushwick Ave. as 'East Williamsburg'... yeah... nice try... it's motherfucking BUSHWICK. and it sucks. so don't pay 3k for a loft there because someone told you it's the hip cool neighborhood. it's not. it sucks.
anyway. that wasn't directed at anyone, just a general rant about the state of affairs of apartments in brooklyn (particularly in and around the williamsburg area)....
i'm just pissed because i have a great deal right now, and if i move, i know i will have to move into a much smaller space... i pay right around a dollar a square foot... for people to be paying TWICE that even further into the ghetto than i am is crazy.
i love/hate ny.
