Royer MXL 2001 mod circuit boards

Post by lowbujit » Tue Oct 30, 2007 8:45 pm

I have 14 sets for sale (power supply, mic board) for the Royer MXL 2001 mic mod. These boards were laid out by me in FreePCB then sent to the factory for fabrication. $25 per set plus $5 shipping. These are really nice boards with silkscreen layout for the parts, soldermask etc.

Wow, a lot of interest right off the bat. It's going to be first come first served on these. No components, just the boards. Wish I could post some pics. When I have time I will put pics/comments of my project on my web site and post a link here.

I just paypaled you! :)

For those interested, I have already done this project as a point to point setup.

I may put together a KIT of parts if there is enough interest. This way you don't have to source them yourself.

and only if this is ok with lowbujit!

:)

FWIW: The Royer mod when done really does have a U67 vibe to it! Outside of the mic the Jensen Transformer is the most expensive part. I tuned (for lack of a better term) my mic via the caps I used; the parts KIT will have this. :)

To be clear: You would get the PCB circuit boards from lowbujit. You could get a KIT or box of materials minus the mic and power supply box from me.

You could use anything for the PSU box - like a little military ammo case form your local Army Surplus.

It really is a rewarding to do this project!
