I have a Neumann to sell and a stack of bills to pay. That's how it goes sometimes, right?

I'm looking for about $800 for it. I'm willing to consider trades...preamps would be of the most interest, probably...I'd love to get a working PM1000, if such a beast exists.

Let me know if there's any interest! Paypal is fine, I'll cover the fees.

Are you the original owner? What shape is it in? Purchased when?
Thanks. D.

There are no working PM1000 modules out there. Do Not fall for this myth...All you guys might as well send me those and I'll take care of them for you...

Not to hijack, but I had a customer come in my music store a few years back with a PM1000 console, fully working. i didn't know what it was back then or I would have bought it off him. oh well.

I am not the original owner. It was originally owned by Yahoo, of all things...they had a studio in Jersey, and I picked it up along with a ton of other things when they liquidated their studio in 2003.

It's in excellent shape. The only marks on it are from an asset tag they had put on it, which I'm pretty sure would come off with a bit of goof-off, and my initials written in silver sharpie right above that.

There is a card in the box from Neumann, indicating that in July 1997, the capsule grounding system was rebuilt. Not entirely certain what that means, but there are no sonic issues with the microphone now.

There is a second service card in the box from May 2000, but the service technician didn't fill it in.

It's serial 02528 if you want to call Neumann and ask them to look in their registry.

As for the PM1000...yeah, I know. I have two racked, and love them. I was trying to come up with something in the same price range. I'd love to get, say, and SCA kit with a couple N72s, or A12s, but its unlikely anyone wants to part with those!
