Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 Recording Console
1997 build
This is one of the later versions so it will have all revisions and updates, also has the more pleasing red white and blue color scheme instead of the old Miami Vice themed one.
When I got this desk it was a bit dusty so I disassembled it completely and did a bottom up complete nut and bolt refurb.
That included washing the circuit boards, entire chassis and all knobs.
There were quite a few channels where the preamps were dead and I swapped in some upgraded ICs in new sockets.
As it sits now the only pres not working are channels 2 8 9 19 21 22
Considering its a 32 channel desk that shouldn't be an issue unless you are micing Terry Bozzio or something.
Master and monitor section is really well designed.
Power supply and manual with all schematics included.
Overall just a great workhorse console and it's a lot of good British engineering in a little package.
I am open to trades and can deliver in SW Louisiana.
