Man, I'm so glad someone mentioned John Cale! His solo material is some of the most beautiful music I've heard in a long time. Paris 1919 is a great record, but one "LP of my life" would have to be his first album, Vintage Violence. Wow . . .

Also, Television - Marquee Moon
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane . . .

probably a few others I can't think of right now.

I second the nod to Go-Betweens, brilliant songwriting all around.

Well for me I would have to say Minor Threat "Out Of Step"

I am now 29 years old but for me that album really changed who I was when I first heard it when I was 14/15 and has sort of made me who I am today in a weird way so that has to be the LP of my life!

Miles Davis, Bitches Brew. Or else Trans Am, Futureworld.

I wish I could name a really cool album like the first Lee Harvey Oswald Band full-length, but any album by the Judys would probably tag me the best. Most of their songs are about people who seem to be born with all the luck and wealth they need and how we less fortunate ones hate them. I know It's childish, but deep inside I think I'll always have that jealous voice. Songs like "Teenage Millionaire" and "All the Pretty Girls" sound like they could hava come straight from my subconcious.

I got to say, there are so many I love, but the first Blind Melon album (actually any of them), that group was far too underated. But then there's Blues for Allah, or Tom Waits Small Change. I better go listen to some music now.
