why couldn't he have left it at "this act was the work of a handfull of undisciplined individuals."

p.s. a report by the red cross states that up to 90% of iraqi prisoners taken by the U.S. military are innocent.

I second Meriphew's warning. It was my choice to watch it and probably didn't need to. I know I'm still much more fortunate than Nick Berg, but it's horrendous. Be warned again. This is not edited fluff. This is a guy being beheaded.

yah it's all fucked up. WE dont like it when it's US soldiers are being fucked up but it's just "funny" when it's anyone but Us military being fucked with.
I think the Iraq soldiers naked with those US people behind them is so awful. I know that was a diffrent thread but..I dont know.....i'm drunk so therfore anyone who is an asshole is an asshole. It doesn't matter what nation you come from.
I have an evil side but I'd never wish it upon anyone. That's for my imagination and not for reality.

Lebanon's Hizbollah has condemned the murder of Nick Berg, referring to it as:

"this horrible act that has done very great harm to Islam and Muslims by this group that claims affiliation to the religion of mercy, compassion and humane principles."

it's pretty amazing when even an extreme militant segment of the arab world condems it!

Of course most Americans won't ever read or hear this.

Most Americans, the media included, can't seem to make the crucial distinctions between even "hardline" Islamic groups, let alone the countless diverse Islamic sects in general.
