Last night/this morning - quadruple bill of loud bands followed by triple bill of jam bands.
Tonight - quadruple bill including The Metallica Drummer Video and I am Spoonbender.
Tomorrow - sleep, eat, talk to girlfriend, sleep.

Weekends don't mean so much when you work every day...

livin' the life, BAYBEEEEE!

I'm counting on heylow spiking the punch. That makes the peanut butter that much more exciting.

I went to the thrift store today and found this cheesy-ass keyboard and a toy xylophone. Total cost $12.99. Score!! I'll post some pics later.

How could you possibly make peanut butter MORE exciting?

Done with soundchecks - dinnertime! No one makes Mexican food like the Koreans.

I'm not doing crap. Rebuilding my damn computer again.
for like the 500th time in the past 3 weeks.
I can't make it work and I wont give up on it.

Other than that I think I will either set up my contact database.... or fix some web sites so they work in Netscape as well as IE.

I'd totally love some of that cheese cake blue!
that reminds me... I should probably go running sometime tonight.

man, am I lame!

Wish I could have some cheesecake. I'm doing the Atkins diet (down 28 lbs so far!). I did find an Atkins recipe for cheesecake... think I'll try it out tonight. Hopefully it won't suck. :D

I know, it's a strange diet, but damn if it doesn't work. I'm not planning on doing it for life, but for a while, it's OK.

Unfortunately, I can't have much peanut butter on this diet at this point, but by the next party, I'll be ready with both creamy and chunky!

What's up with your computer? I find that kicking them actually helps sometimes. Well, it makes me feel better.

I took friday off. I really needed a day off. Ran errands, mowed the lawn, organized the studio a little. Noodled around in PTools today with my nephew. He's getting to be a good guitar player. He just kind of jaaaaammmmmssssssss. Good practice for us both. Then we watched The Score (Robert Dinero, Ed Norton) and Monsters Inc. Mother's Day tomorrow. That'll be cool. Hey, have you guys had PB&J in a warm wheat flour tortilla? That's good stuff right there. - Sonicgirl, what's the PC doing (or not doing)?

OK... I'll try to explain this PC thing.

I rebuilt the computer and it would lock up like all the damn time...
The power went out while I was installing IE6 and I was worried that might be why... the other thing I noticed was
there was an IRQ conflict with the sound card...and video card so I fixed that... but it still locked up.

I took the sound card completly out for days.... and it didn't lock up nearly as much but it still locked up from time to time.

I got sick of it and decided to start from scratch, Fdisk and the whole nine yards.... Fdisk worked fine... I try to format...
The drive wont format. It would stop at 14% (its a brand new drive)

So today I got an RMA for my new drive and thought I would stick a little 4GB in and build it so I could at least surf the web and stuff while I waited for the hard drive to come back...
so I put in the 4GB drive... Fdisk = ok Format = ok install Windows 98SE = ok... Windows 98SE trys to reboot.... it wont reboot.

It is now seeing the CD Rom as the master... and not seeing any hard drive... pretty freaky huh?

I checked the jumpers and kicked the computer... and I haven't touched it since then because I was just WAY to angry/upset.

I hate it.

Heres the specs:

Motherboard: ABit VP6
Processor: Intel 1Ghz
Memory: Kingmax 512MB (2 256)
Video: Matrox Millenium G450
Sound: SoundBlaster Live Value (nobody make any comments on this)

Thats what is wrong so far.

Little
Debbie
Swiss
Cake
Rolls

Imagine if you will: a case of Little Debbies, a flat of cream soda, six high school pals with paintball guns (Nelspots with the 12g CO2 cartridge) on a golf course at four in the morning .
Good days...

Jen,

As far as the IRQ conflict goes, try switching cards around into different slots. I've seen cases where this will make the conflict resolve itself.

If the computer is failing to see hard drives, it could be a couple of things. The cable from the motherboard to the drives could be crapping out. Try replacing it. Another thing I can think of is that the hard drive controller on the motherboard might be dying. That would suck since, unless you have a separate HD controller card, it means replacing the motherboard.

Also, look in the BIOS and make sure it knows what kind of hard drive you have (cylinders, sectors, etc). That will also tell you if the motherboard can even see the hard drives.

Let me know how this turns out.
