Girls twiddling widgets - tomorrow night, SF
In the vein of girls and gear.
There's a live electronica show I'm going to tomorrow that I thought I'd let you know about. I have no idea what to expect, apart fromt the fact that all the performers will be female. And, I beleive, they have to have a hand in creating the music - waggling their bum in front of the actual performers and crooning off-key, or pressing play ona record player don't count.
Here are the details - time/lineup/cover

I have no idea what to expect.
If you are on the fence about attending, and at the risk of sounding like I am objectifying the event holders, I would like to point out - the crowd is likely to have a better gender ratio than most shows, and many of the attendees will be interested in talking about gear - something we are all experts on here :>
If you're going, let me know, and we can meet up. I may not get there until 10 or so - previous obligations....

hey 'dip--is that a real mic or a computer-generated one on your avatar there? And if it's real, what in the hell is it?

Walter Sear and me made it last weekend. It's the only way to get proper analog tone.inverseroom wrote:hey 'dip--is that a real mic or a computer-generated one on your avatar there? And if it's real, what in the hell is it?

Oh yes,
Instead of wearing a funny hat, or hopping on one leg, you can recognize me by comparing crazy faces in the crowd with ones that are here:

(edit) on second thoughts that's kind of useless, since I'm the one who's taking all the photos. Here I am

i won't be able to make it to this, but it looks good. I saw Blevin Blechdom (Blectum) perform once, and her thing was really cool.
