Matrix: Revolutions

Post by Piotr » Fri Nov 07, 2003 5:01 pm

I went out to see this flick even though I wasn't so thrilled with the Reloaded movie. I am a Matrix fan and I though it can't be any worse than the second one. To my surprise the movie was a feast for the eyes and ears. I don't think I have ever seen anything quite like it. I wouldn't go so far as to say that you can't tell the difference between computer animation and reality but it was pretty damn close. This is the action picture of the year!

I highly recommend seeing Matrix: Revolutions, and I am sure that others will as well -- in droves!

It's just STUNNING!
Yours,

Piotr

I thought it was disappointing for a final installment. Instead of discussing the theory of the matrix, the movie was one big graphics splooge and a war scene. I was bummed.

Sequels are like hungover, morning sex--with the lights on--after a one night stand.

No offense, but you should see something before you call yourself an expert...

For real, Revolutions sucked just like Reloaded. The first one was good, however.

People who loved this movie are the same ones who loved the Star Wars Prequels. Makes me wonder if the "brothers" let Lucas write and direct it.

Some one tell me why the "machines" didn't nuke zion when they found out where it was?

I havent seen revolutions yet but, I thought the second one was really cool, besides the wierd awkward sex scene the rest of the movie was pretty solid.
It kinda reminds me of starwars. Empire was boring. Jedi had the ewoks. But if you watch em all the way through, they are pretty cool.

Dude... what are you smoking?!

I hate to be a critic but... actually I like being a critic... Empire was the best one before Lucas fired the producer... then he churned out drool, red neck, money fests... ROTJ and the prequels.

don't get me wrong I LOVE empire, its my favorite one. But most people find it slower than the others for what ever reason. I was making the star wars/matrix-second movie in a special effects driven trilogy connection. Your right about the George Lucas stuf,he totally sucks balls now.

To be fair, I didn't really like Reloaded. I hated Star Wars Episode One. Though I thought that Episode Two was beginning to feel like a Star Wars movie, albeit marginally.

The last movie I saw before Revolutions was Charlie's Angels 2, which I thought was hilarious and campy and overall a pretty sweet shot of Cameron's derriere, I mean a decent picture.

EMP.

That and there must be billions more of them. you can build a mchine in a day, but a human takes time.

But they pretty much left the movies WIDE open for what ever you want it to be. No direction no explination no rules no nothing. And considering they could have done ANYTHING in the matrix.... That was a fucking weak fight.

But Im not complaning. I have no expectations and appreciate all movies for what there worth. And 2 and 3 were great action flicks.

Oh and I love starwars episode 1 and thought 2 was fucking GREAT!

Squiddies went far enough before getting hit with an EMP. Why didn't the "machines" use conventional weapons instead of tentacles?

The "machines" are pretty dumb.

Saw it in Imax last night. Hollywood movies aren't edited for Imax. Fight scenes were cool, but dialogue was tough because people's heads were, well, just too big on that massive screen.

As for the film, while I do like action movies, I don't like war movies, and this felt like a war movie.

The first one is still a favorite of mine, though.

if they had just edited all of the "acting" scenes out of revolutions, i think it would have been awesome. i still enjoyed it, though i had to divorce it in my mind from the absolute amazement i felt when i saw the very first movie.
