Not my fave-sounding instrument, but you do play the hell out of it! 8)

Thanks, guys.

I studied sitar (North Indian) and oud (Arab) with teachers, and setar (Persian) mainly on my own... I took one lesson, but the teacher lived too far away and I couldn't afford it. I'm also strongly influenced by Turkish and Moroccan music, and music from all through North Africa and the Middle East. I've been listening to a lot of Tunisian and Moroccan Jewish music lately, like Raoul Journo.

I'm influenced by lots of other things, of course, too, from the rest of the world. But those are the ones that come through the most when I play that instrument, and that piece in particular.

Thanks for listening!

I kept waiting on a note to resolve it around 1:30, and was happy that it never came. The instrument sounds freaking great.
