aardvark on a mac

Anybody using either of the 4 input aardvark cards (lx6/directpro) on desktop mac (g4, etc.)?

There appear to beta mac 9 drivers, but I'm getting a little gunshy...especially when the RME stuff is similarly priced...

Any testimonials for either? The lynx stuff looks great, but it's more than I want to spend right now...
