Anybody out there know how to transfer field recordings from a minidisc player to Itunes? We use the sony minidisc player to record rehearsals and I just want to take those tracks and get them into itunes. This way I can give cd's to the other bad members. The only way I've done it so far is to use the headphone out into my mh 2882 and get it into Logic, then cut it up. Takes forever.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
dougo

Here's how I do it:
MD optical out to optical in of my harmon kardon CD burner. Record to CD. Pop into Mac. If you have an optical interface hooked to your mac, that'd be even better. Unfortunately I know of no way to get the digital info from the MD to the computer any quicker. I'm sure it's possible, but manufacturers are too paranoid about copy protection to make it a reality.

there was a USB cable that came with my MD player recorder... but the software to quickly go back and forth was PC only...
So, there's only a couple ways to get into a machine with a MDr and they're all real time. Sorry to say.

Yeah, before I had the optical option (which I impliment now). I used an imic and then dumped it directly into my computer and edited from there. The optical is by far the easiest, just make sure you have a lot of lead-in time before each track so that splitting tracks will require little effort on your part. hope that helps some!
