I should match both of you up with my guitar/key player Gaz. He's a Spaceman and lives in Tacoma. Then you all could meet in the middle for the rockin'.

My band only practices once a week ( :( ) and Gaz and I both could stand to play a little more.

OttoKbre - count me in. I thought it would be a good idea to form a ShoeGaze nation. Maybe in Nevada? There are lots of passionate fans, but they are too diluted over the country. We can refer to ourselves as the .5% nation.

cool. you'll be the Knight of the Royal Order of Synthesis and the Duke of Electret Mics!

Actually guys, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and start an electronic project mixed with acoustic insturments. Doing soundscapes on the laptop and havin some cats compose over that. Well that the idea anyways, everyone is pretty consumed with the holidays, but I'm hoping it will be an outlet to my electronic wonderings. That and listening to too much Rachels, Dntel and Notwist. I'm still looking for players.

Come next spring, I'm sure I'll migrate back over to the Tele-n-Vox.

Am I the only one who's happy where they are? I live in Appleton, WI, a town of only around 70,000 people. Basically, the only unified scene consists of hardcore/thrash groups, then there are a bunch of electro-acoustic musicians (like myself) doing their thing in bedrooms and basements. Everybody listens to The Notwist (even some of the hardcore kids), Fennesz and Mum and semi-annually there is an electronic music festival at the local university (home of one of the most reknown music conservatories in the nation). My brother recently started a record label, Labrabbit records (http://www.labrabbit.org), as an outlet for the experimental electronic musicians. Come here if you don't like it where you're at. You'll either love it for its isolation and intimacy or hate it for being a small town.

Wow. Scary how this one died after I offered services. It took Spectral to resuscitate it after a month of inactivity.

Damn, and I live in the "neighborhood".

Post flyers everywhere: place you like going, music stores, record stores etc. Some people may not know what the music is but may like it if they hear it. Use craigslist.org: http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html Post a classified every week in your local scene rag.

Join some shoegaze groups online and ask around. I'm sure you can find a few on Yahoo Groups.

i have a question for anyone/everyone
from all over the country please reply
do you see trends in your city of kids playing indie/electronic stuff?
mixing guitars and laptops and whatnot..
i have this theory of music like this becoming huge and changing the record industry.
i'm moving back to hoolyWood california to dominate the world
cheers!!
