How was the bass recorded on the recond song? I like the wierd tone. Sounds like a Tuba.

Thanks, we had a lot of fun getting weird sounds for the whole record. The bass on that tune was an old Fender P fretless with a J pickup on the bridge. Ran it through an old RCA tube preamp that has about 3 billion db of gain. No compression other than the preamp artifacts and straight to tape. I probably boosted some 250hz or around there during mix but I'm not sure. - Brian
