SPDIF Switcher?

Post by rastro2 » Sun Jan 23, 2005 8:03 am

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a SPDIF switch box. I have the Digi 002 rack, with only 1 SPDIF input. My Dan Alexander Neve Pre & Apogee Rosetta is currently connected to the SPDIF out. My Kurzweil K2661 has SPDIF too, so I'm wondering if there's a handy way to switch between the two. I rarely use them at the same time.

Thanks,

You could build a small patchbay out of a 1u blank panel.

You could look for a used Midiman Digipatch.

You could get any number of a/v switchers from Radio Shack or the like.
Usually they have the connectors for optical or coaxial and allow you to switch between several sources. That's the cheapest solution I can think of.
Nerp!
