Republic Studios - Austin, Texas

Post by DavidATX » Fri May 14, 2004 3:32 pm

Republic Studios offers affordable, quality recordings. We are a Pro-Tools studio, but we pride ourselves on our ability to engineer, not on the equipment. Our rates are $40 and hour or $250 for a day (8 hours). We sometimes offer bands project rates, but that is mostly for full album production. We have worked with such bands as: Hognose, Super Heavy Goat Ass, Amplified Heat, Southern Gun Culture, At All Cost, Speedloader, Born To Lose, Natchet Taylor, Lower Class Brats, The Oklahomos, Darling Sinister, and many more. Feel free to contact us with any questions!

OK...here are a few updates about what is going on at Republic Studios:

We are currently changing our Pro-Tools rig to the newer 002 version with 24 bit/96khz capability. Yeah, yeah, yeah...we LOVE analog...but just isnt cost effective for a small/medium size studio these days...plus a great engineer can do great recordings on ANY media!

We are also about to wire up 8 Sytek MPX-4Aii mic pre-amps., 4 of which have the Burr Brown mods.

So along with our expertise in recording and mixing we are now recording at 24 bit-96 khz with some very worthy mic-pres!

If you are in Texas and need a studio, drop us a line. Or if you are band that needs a a great engineer (regardless of location) give us a ring.

Per Joel's advice...we will be adding an Aardsync next week. Call us for rates and dates.

We also just added an Otari 1" 16 track as well as a few other goodies. We are looking for a new building as well. But if you need to record now...give us a call or an e-mail.
