Seeking Lap or Pedal-Steel/ Sound Collage (NYC/ Brooklyn)

Post by goldenechos » Mon Jan 31, 2005 1:49 pm

Seeking somebody that plays lap steel or pedal steel, and also enjoys tape echoes, making tape loops or samples, sound collage & musique concrete. Some piano would be real fine, or just about anything electro-mechanical.

I write songs, and I am seeking somebody to collaborate with me in performing and recording those songs.

I like records by Ernest Tubb, Willie Nelson, Cash, Hank, Jimmie Rodgers, Dolly Parton, Connie Smith, Loretta Lynn, Patsy as well as Brian Eno, Stockhausen, Morton Subotnick, Bowie, Lee Perry, King Tubby, Augustus Pablo.

PM me for demos and we can chat.

There is a free classified at newyorkmusician.com that you might want to try. It's just for New York and is getting about 60.000 hits a month.

Hi, I live in the New York area and am heavily interested in sound collage. I've been doing a lot on a mac. I just moved out here and don't have all my instruments (I only have an accoustic guitar as of now) but I can play bass, some basic guitar (I'm a novice), some basic piano chords but I'm really interested in collaborating.

Wow ,
that sounds great. I am also a old country/singer songwriter, electronic/modern composition, dub freak. Unfortunatly I do not have a lap steel or pedal steel but I do play guiter, often with a slide, have electronic music experience and am interested in collaborating. I know my profile says S.F. but I live in N.Y. now.
