I've only been able to listen to "Hello Nicole" (Norelco Girls) so far.

I liked it a lot. The song itself was great. I loved the guitar sounds, except for that weird panning -- was that intentional? Maybe the mp3 was just screwy? Anyway, I loved the lead vocal too. The bass I thought could be pushed up in the mix a bit.

The drums were a little trashy, buried and sloppy. Again, I was listening to the mp3 ... on crappy headphones, so I wasn't getting great sound reproduction, but I could only really hear the snare and A LOT of highhat. No kick. None.

How did you mic the drums? Also, how good was the drummer?

Joe

Joe Wrote: I loved the guitar sounds, except for that weird panning -- was that intentional? Maybe the mp3 was just screwy?

Ed Replies: No, the weird panning was not intentional. The WAV does not have it either.

Joe Wrote: The drums were a little trashy, buried and sloppy. ... How did you mic the drums? Also, how good was the drummer?

Ed Replies: The drummer was not that experienced, but quickly getting better. The drum kit had mic's on each tom, kick, snare. There was a single overhead.

Thanks for responding.
