Thinner cables?

Just had some cables made up at my local music shop, 10ft unbalanced jack to jack.I will be using them to run my keyboards/samplers into my HD24.The cables the guy used are vanne damme cables but are a lot thinner than your standard audio lead.Is there any disadvantages to using this type of lead?Or will it make no real difference.They have neutrik jacks on either end also.

Do you know what gauge the wire is? Don't be fooled by the thickness of the jacket and insulation.

The only thing I can think that would matter what size the cable is (not the gauge of the wire) is if you roll something over them, or that type of abuse. We use thinner cables here for audio and video sometimes.. and it works just fine. As long as the wire gauge is right.
