This is one of my current projects. Lundahl trannys on the in and out. No ICs except for the meter driver.. looking forward to getting this all buttoned up.

I substituted the 6.8uF tantalum caps with some electrolytics... any opinions on this?

yeah, "regular" aluminum electrolytics in place of tantalums are okay. this is in the sidechain, and most modern aluminum electrolytics are low-leakage enough that they will be fine.
