Heil PR-40

I bought one of these yesterday, had to get it at the local ham radio / electronics shop. Very nice mic, well built, good sounding. My RE-20 is on permanent loan so I couldn't do a comparision. Seems to me that it doesn't need as much gain, but still needs alot.

US made and under $300, a good deal i think.

I was saving up for one of these for a while, when I was poorer and they were only $199. Litteraly as soon as I had enough money I went to buy it from this guy new off ebay and it was like $150 more. I e-mailed him about it and he said that Heil didn't want to sell on the internet anymore and raised his prices.

Since I have George Costanza like spite genes I decided I would never get one for that much. But I do still wish I had one.
