FMR RNLA
I'm think about getting one. What do you use it for? The sound? How does it compare to the RNC or Distressor(both of which I have)? I'm looking for more compression choices. I'm thinking this would be a good addition to what I have. Ok.....discuss.

do you have any specific applications in mind?
i use it on mid to high range stuff...snare guitar vocals hats maybe some keys
i wasn't really knocked out by it on heavy electronic bass drum or bass guitar...
but it does have some good glue for non bass heavy material....
it's no distressor but it's on tenth the price....
its $275? and sounds quite good...either save your pennies for a vari-mu
or a 1176 or something crazy
or say screw it like i did and find the sweet spot of the RNLA for cheapo...
i'm pro RNLA but it does have its limits....

Thanks for the info. I really have no specific applications in mind other other than to get a couple more channels of compression for cheap. I'm really happy with the RNC and REALLY REALLY happy with the Distressor I have. Soooo I was just looking for....more channels of compression, something different that what I have, quality, and cheapness. I pretty sure the RNLA will fit the bill. Anyone else have any impressions???r0ck1r0ck2 wrote:do you have any specific applications in mind?

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now. I've used it for a drum buss, some bass guitar, and acoustic guitars. If you use the "Log Rel" button, you can get some cool pumping going on a drum mix. I like it!Evergreen wrote: Thanks for the info. I really have no specific applications in mind other other than to get a couple more channels of compression for cheap.
