Oberheim Strummer?

Post by Karlos the Jackal » Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:07 am

I'm seriously considering picking up one of these, which I only found out existed about 20 minutes ago.

Does anyone here have one? Um, what's it like?

What would you pay for one?

(I'm kinda looking for something to fill that "guitar" space and I don't play guitar. But -- I'm not looking to "fool" anyone into thinking that there's a guitar playing, either.)

Thanks!

i was thinking of picking one up about a year or so ago. they seemed to be pretty firm at $100 on ebay at the time. i was curious to see what it would sound like using it on odd stuff like clicks and hits or odd synth tones. if you do pick one up id love to hear what you can do with it. maybe you can post or email me some samples.

there was also this thing years ago: http://www.sonicstate.com/synth/charlie_digitar.cfm

i don't remember exactly what the original price was, maybe close to $400 or something completely stupid.

there are supposedly programs that will do this, but ive never found one.
