Chris Blair, Abbey Road

Post by cgarges » Sat Nov 12, 2005 12:10 pm

Not sure if anyone minds that I post this here, but I just learned of the passing of Abbey Road mastering engineer Chris Blair. This news makes me very sad.

I got to work with Chris at Abbey Road a few years back. He was a very, very talented and very dear man. A hell of a mastering engineer--good, fast, and very pleasant. A genuinly nice human. He had worked at the studio for some 35 years or so and I believe was the only staff member to have been there that long. He saw some great sessions and had a hand in a bunch of really great music during that time period.

He will be sorely missed.
