Just got reference masters back from Golden Mastering on my friend Paul Bertolino's amazing solo album. Here's a taste...

Had a blast recording a fun-ass punk band called "The Showoffs" the other day...we cut the vocals live in the same room as the drum kit bleed and all, and I think it turned out great regardless. Did a whole album in one day...14 songs! Here's a tune from that sesh...

Just started an album with a singer/songwriter out of SF named Josh Cole who's laying it all down himself. He's doing a whole album, and the funny enough the first thing he recorded is the album's final outro...

I think the most interesting thing for me about The Showoffs and the Josh Cole thing are that I've been using my new SM7B as a vocal mike and I think that thing just kicks ass! For the punk thing it just sounded totally perfect. You can't hear it much on the Josh Cole thing, but you can on this other song he did that day...

A little too "Staind" for me but man I love the way the vocals sound through that thing! What do you guys think? Any suggestions on things that need work?
