I have been given the task of cleaning up an older sound system in a church. The console needs a good cleaning and the system is going to be rewired and updated in a few areas. What cleaning supplies should I look into for cleaning the pots, faders and connections? Any help would be great... oh and it's an older Yamaha analog board (32 channels). I'm trying to find out the model if that will help.
Thanks,
Josh

Maybe post this in the "DIY" gear cleaning/fixing/modding forum?
I would just get some Endust for electronics and a clean (NEW) paintbrush and go nuts on the face of the thing, then fire up the console and see what goes "CCCHHHTTHHHHSSSTTTT" every time you touch it. Turn down the monitors and twist that knob 39 times, then see if it goes away. you would be surprised at what a little "massage" can do for an old pot....
Beyond that: Ask Soundguy. I just break stuff...
