so i've got this busted set of 7506s
and a set of protective earmuffs...

any tips...
how to mount the drivers in the shell?

I have been thinking about this too......I was just going to try using excessive anounts of silicon goo.

Yes, I am one of THOSE people, up in the attic, trying to recreate the magical sounds of my youth (cheap trick, boston, pavement) on the family 8 track recorder.

I made some of those using hunter ear protection. I just drilled holes to run the wire, used the rubber grommet thing to add to the sound proofing (from the donor headphones) and then just used 2 sides of velcro (incase they needed replaced and they do because I blew them out playing a metronome to loud). Works really great, good luck.
