The foam surrounds are blown out on both of them. While it appears to be the only damage, it makes them totally unusable and distorted. I've had large monitors reconed before, but never just "re-foamed".
There are no direct replacements available, as far as I can tell. Fostex makes some pretty cool 5" full-range speakers but they'll run me about four times as much as re-foaming and will obviously change the speakers' character (yeah, maybe for the better).
These guys give you a 7-year warrantee on re-foamed speakers:

Should I "re-foam" my Auratones?

I re-foamed some dahlquist speakers w/ a diy kit. It was messy and took a few hours but it was easy and dirt cheap. I ordered my kit from www.simplyspeakers.com. They had my speakers in their database, but you can also take measurements and they'll send something that works.

I have had many Auratones fixed. They just replace the speaker with a Pioneer speaker. $20 plus install. Consult a speaker repair shop. I used Central Florida Speaker. Maybe they could re-surround them, if you desire.
