Houston/Austin Mastering Engineers?

Post by Reuben » Thu Nov 24, 2005 7:16 am

Hey Friends,

A client of mine who lives in the Houston area is going to be in need of mastering services and will probably need an attended session because of some editing involved (not too involved, probably). Recommedations? He goes to Austin frequently, so it's also an option.

thanks,

Terra Nova

Terra Nova does the brunt work of mastering for the Austin scene, there is Jerry Tubb and second engineer Eric Paul.

I'm sure there are other folks around, but these guys are great.

I think Jim Wilson at Yes Mastering in S. Austin is the best. Most of the stuff I record for the label I co-own is mastered through him.

I heartily second the Jim Wilson recommendation.

I would agree w/ the Yes Mastering rec.
Terra Nova and Masterpiece MAstering are also solid alternatives.

Terra Nova all the way. Jerry and Diane are wonderful.

Another vote for Jim. Nothing against Tera Nova, but Jim's mastering is second to none.
