Guitar amp repair info/books?

Post by bobschwenkler » Thu Dec 08, 2005 5:32 pm

What are some good resources on learning to repair amps? I'd be interested in info on SS and tube amps. Books? Internet sources?

There is a guy in town who I am going to talk to at some point, but anything I can learn on my own would be great.

You're in luck. I just came across "How To Service Your Own Tube Amp" by Tom Mitchell when I was doing a bit of studio cleaning. I've got the video too, which I've never even watched. I did read the whole book, once through. It's pretty informative.

Email or PM me if you're interested.
