Just pulled this CD off the shelf after organizing all my cds and stuff... holy shit... i think this might be the best sounding live trio recording i've ever heard...

aside from the acoustics in the vangaurd being absolutely amazing, this thing is recorded amazingly... so natural... i've seen this trio a bunch of times there, and this record is really what they sound like... it's an absolutely stunning recording IMO...

anyone else love this one?

Oh yeah, and it was RECORDED TO TAPE!!!! Yay!... a modern live jazz record made with a mobile truck running analog tape... the way it should be done.

I've heard it but I don't have it. It is a great record. Who recorded it?

James Farber... that dude rules.

kentothink, no there aren't any radiohead tunes on that one... that started with the next record, vol 3. 'songs'... has Exit Music (for a film) as well as River Man by Nick Drake...
I'm psyhed you like my band... i am deathly afraid of myspace, so i don't have much to do with the friending and such, but thanks for the props, i'll check out your band soon!

He makes me want to quit recording... it sounds sooooo good.

The way he captures Larry's bass also makes me want to quit playing bass... largely due to Larry's bass playing on those records...

I quit...
