usb interface, phantom power, compressor?

I own a 2-channel M-audio mobile pre USB, which has built in phantom power and a condenser mic, and I'm thinking about buying a presonus comp16 mono compressor. My question is, before I decide to buy, where in the chain would the compressor go? Would it be compatible at all?
