Monitor Listening shindig in Central Illinois

Post by drumsound » Fri Jan 20, 2006 5:25 pm

I'd like to invite anybody who would like to come to Oxide Lounge Recording in Bloomington IL to hear two sets of monitors that I have in for evaluation. The event will be next Friday January 27. I'm thinking an 8:00PM start time will work just fine. Bring some CDs you'd like to hear.

The monitors on hand will be Truth Audio TA-1P and NHT M-00 with S-00 sub. If I can find another stand I might set my HR824s up too.

Send me a PM or call fro directions.

I was gonna come down but now I've got a production meeting that night, plus my car got broken into on Saturday so I likely won't have new window glass by Friday--it would suck driving to Bloomington in January with no window.

A production meeting means work right? So that's a good thing. We'll miss you. Come visit some other time.

The drive with no window would indeed suck! I55 get awful windy sometimes!

It does mean work, yeah. So it's a very good thing. I'll try to make it to the next thing.

I wish I didn't have to miss it. I'll be down next time, Tony.

If you have a monitor listening again, I have a pair of NS-10s and a Hafler amp to bring (ha ha.) If you wanna do mics, I have about 30 or so to pick from (most of them mid-market)

If you get one of them there Plate Sonics I could bring my homebrew plate and do an A/B. Anyone have an EMT or Lawson near Bloomington, IL they can bring?
not to worry, just keep tracking....

Are you kidding? The 'Pole colsed right before I moved here in '96. It's not a psudo swanky Weslyan joint called Fat Jacks! They do have some live jazz though.
