I'm thinking I'll angle it up a little...Just kick it back about the width of a 2x4 on top(nothing too drastic)
It's a pretty small room so mics could end up anywhere(and or everywhere)
I cant wait to get the guitar amps away from the drums!! I'm very passionate about loud guitar, and the player standing in front of the amp.
If you cover up the amp or stick it another room from the player you might as well use a modeling thing(IMHO)

right.....I'm hoping something subtle wont affect it to much.
I should just try my best to make it perfectly streight.....With my construction skills it would probably turn out about right:>)
I think if I secure it in a frame...and then kick the frame back a little it will still work out???? Or maybe it will fall on my head when I least expect it???

I wouldn't bother trying to mount the door at any kind of vertical angle. The amount you'd have to tip it in order for it to make any significant difference at all in the sound arriving back at the mic is more than would be safe. It would be a hell of a lot easier to just move the mic around or mount the door on a horizontal angle.

I would agree with MPE and blunder; hanging a door out of plumb (the construction term for straight up and down), esp. a slider, is not likely to net you much except for headaches in the working action of the door. I'd go for dead vertical, and find other ways to avoid reflections from the glass. Best of luck.

well the door went in....not as easy as I thought to put an angle on it so it's square and plum......( the good news is it's the only thing in the room the IS streight)
Glass is a nasty sound....glass and plaster..YUCK!! sometimes you have to take a step back to take two steps forward(right?)
Thanks for the input folks..
