If one person gets a GS fellowship, everyone would want one. If they want money they don't want the job!

That's a pretty narrow view of it. He's a successful engineer offering an intership at a great studio. Think of it like going to a recording school that you don't have to pay for. Hell, I'd do it if I was 10 years younger with no family to worry about.

There is a certain peace in knowing that even if you record motherfuck'n battery that there will still be someone on the internet throwing stones. how's that for people skills?

incredible.

Let's not turn this into another another "should interns get paid?" thread, okay?

Thanks.

I am not sure what that means. The Metallica song?
But getting back to the original post, I honestly think the time of the traditional intern-apprentice in this industry is over if I were to judge it by that huge list or reasons why anyone wouldn't want the job unless they were less than 18 years of age. The future will be automated robot interns to do all the mundane tasks while the apprentice learns from the master after having paid him tens of thousands of dollars instead of going to school.

Yes the Metallica Song. He mixed Master of Puppets along with a huge list of great bands.

Assisting Michael Wagener would be invaluable. It would take years and years of working with top engineers and producers to get this kind experience.

Whoever gets the gig will be lucky. Even if they don't get paid a dime.
