G&L basses are rules.

G&L guitars are great as well.

I love G&L guitars. . . no bass here, but an ASAT w/ Rio Grandes and an F-100. Both are bitchin. The F-100 is a monster.

Yeah the F100 has a myriad of pickup selectors, pole taps and phase switches. It's Leo Fender's geekiest model ever. You can get so many sounds out of it, it's really cool. Burly looking too. Of course, I love the ASAT for the tele thing, but you're right--the weird G&Ls are the coolest.

man i just love it when guitars are a geek fest...
it's blasphemy(sp?) but the marauder by gibson just kills me..same goes for Gretsh...its just for comedy..
i'm not saying i want one of these buggers as i tend to only use one or 2 settings on a guitar...like neck to bridge p.u. and such...but i do think its funny as hell

on bass tho'
no no

only volume/tone..this is all you're allowed...

man i can't believe how usefull the tonecontrol on the sb-1 is...usually i don't touch the damn thing...
and the pickups are SOOOO HOT on it...
it's crazy...you actually have to back off the volume if you want it to be clean..

crazy...i'm an on off kind of player...

that weirdo guitar i posted is a 80's Yamaha SC-300T
i had the volume replaced with a on/off switch...
i'd yank the tone nob if it ever got in my way..

I've been using my LB-100 for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. Nothing feels as good in my hands or sounds as good to my ears. I used it on my band's recording for our new 7" and it sounded monsterous when a/b'd with my MusicMan Stingray (which sounded kinda mid scooped and weak).

I have one of these (same color).

I also have a Dano Longhorn bass, and a Fender American Jazz bass w/ Fender custom shop pups in it. The G&L definitely sounds best solo'd, but when placed in a mix (my mix), I prefer my Fender Jazz bass most.

L2000 for me, just great. I'd love to get that ASAT guitar shown above, I think it'd be a nice change from my strat. I don't know if it's still true, but the goofy look and sometimes color of G & L guitars used to mean you could get them relatively cheap. I once played a lime green ASAT at a store that was selling for $250 I think. It was by far the best guitar in the place, just the ugliest as well.
