Trident 4T vs Vintech x73i
Has anyone had any expereince with these 2 units? ive heard the 4T A/B'd against a neve console, and though it wasnt quite as nice it was still really close, and had a real full sound to it, (was done with a BLUE bottle) ive never had a chance to hear the vintech unit, but reviews for it sound pretty promising, the 4T is also $300 cheaper and also has a compresser along with the mic pre and eq, so it seems like the way to go on a budget, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these two units

Several things to consider:
Different frequencies in the eq sections allow dealing with different sounds.
The front end pre-amp/line amp is going to color your sound. For snare drum, vocals and guitar, think Trident. For vocals, bass and other drums, think Vintech. Trident is orange, clanky, spanky and slightly metallic in tone. Vintech is brownish in nature to bronze. Less sparkle, but fine detail.
