I'm in the market for and affordable pre with s/pdif out. Has anyone heard the new focusrite trakmaster pro? If so, any thoughts? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
When in doubt, consult the manual

I've got the Trakmaster Pro Platinum (i think they need to make the name a bit longer!)

doesnt have the spdif card installed...

personally i love the thing... very nice neutral sound.. or engage the various adtional elements for furhter tweaking..

HPF

mid scoop

compressor

i dont use the moitoring section but i supposse its useful.

i like the mid scoop its quite tweakey... the compressor is quite tasty as welll.. capable of REALLY dramatic squasherery. I dig it cause i play alot of guitar direct into the board.. so now i go direct into the trackmaster, you can really get a nice SQUASHED funk guitar with this comp... sounds hot on bass too.. and its great for warming and taming synths as well

its a bit dramatic for drums but that's probably more due to the fact that i have to set it.. then go drum.. then come back and check it... not the best situation.

i dig the simplicity and the fact that every option sounds GOOD and the nobs actually EFFECT the sound.. and you can switch everything from a subtle to deep modes.

what do these run? i think paid $200 on ebay...
