Spoon?

Post by weatherbox » Wed Jul 12, 2006 10:14 pm

has there been an interview with the Spoon production team? Their last two records are exactly what I dream of in terms of amazing drum sounds and tremendous use of space and ambiance in music, using the studio room as an instrument itself. If there has... I gotta get that back issue.

checked out the Public HiFi site - pretty sparse, but I found a couple pics that definitely got me a little misty eyed. Looks like a wonderful place to work.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think Spoon records are some of the best sounding "indie" records, period. My favorite drum sounds. Lots of depth. Great songs too.

The first time I listened to Spoon for any length of time was in concert. I had their first CD, but hadn't listened to it that much. I then attended one for Gimme Fiction and that made me get the CD. It did not disappoint, awesome sounding CD.

One of the few bands that kicks much ass in the studio and absolutely nails their live sets to the floor.
