Think good thoughts for Scott Harding

Post by joel hamilton » Sat Feb 16, 2008 7:50 pm

Scott Harding, aka Scotty Hard. One of my best friends on earth. A great engineer for many years, has recorded and mixed some classic records from wu tang forever to black sheep to PM dawn to chris rock to MMW and so on and so on... so many great recordings, and a very close pal of mine, more like a brother.
Scotty was in a horrible car accident last night, and his back was broken. He also had a broken collarbone and a broken shoulder blade, cuts and bruises. He was hit by drunk joyriding kids in brooklyn. He was in a car service. The cops estimate the kids were going at least 90Mph when they hit the car scotty was in...

Please think good thoughts for his recovery. Please pray for him to be well again. The news hit me like a ton of bricks today. get well , my brother. I am thinking of you.

Hey Hey!

Thoughts and prayers and hope. There's always hope... especially when you have good friends who think of you as a brother.

Between this and the guy who was hit by a truck after a car door opened and hit his bike off into the truck, NYC is not a friendly place for the commuting engineer. What a fucked up place when it's so easy to get killed just going to work.

My best thoughts to your friend for a full a recovery.

Damn Damn Damn
I hated hearing about this....
I was thinking about calling him today before I got the email.

According to this article it sounds like he is in good spirits:

I understand there is a fund in the works to help with expenses. Someone should post info when it's ready for the public.

Sending good thoughts.... Wish I could be there to help out.

There's info on a fund to help Scott out (as apparently he has no health insurance) at http://recforums.prosoundweb.com/index. ... 1944/2475/

I had the honor of Scott coming over to my studio about a half year ago - as I had mastered the Adrian Hibbs EP he had recorded at his studio that's just across the street from mine, and it was definitely fun to hang out with some shop talk and some stories. Seriously a nice guy - and obviously a very accomplished engineer.

I truly hope he's able to recover quickly! I'm keeping him in my prayers.

Best regards,
Steve Berson

I don't know Scotty but I am sending positive thoughts that he recovers.

It's horrible but typical that congress is wasting time and money on baseball steroids and not dealing with real issues...like the devastation caused by drunk driving accidents like this one.

The laws and penalties need to be more stringent.

Get well soon.
