you have no idea what the difference is between gain and volume, but you think you are the world's best
you want to record garage bands for 10 bucks an hour

more clients
a rack of gear to drool over
a stack of cool CD's you have done
you are open-minded
you can work open hours
you know that recording is half art, half science
you can work evenings and weekends
you want to be an engineer, not a guy in a band who works in a studio
you take direction well
