| Wow, that looks like quite a project, even before getting to the studio construction part. Thanks for the post, most of the garage conversion topics on Sayers' forum always seem to be in the planning stage, cool to see an actual build in progress. |

yeah, it's hard to believe it was basically sitting in the ground back in November. We poured the new slab in mid-december. weird timing wise, but i had to move out of the warehouse i was working in at the end of january, so i was trying to get a jump on it. _________________ www.peapodrecordings.com

However, how did you make your window plugs? I've got two big windows that let a lot of street noise in... don't want to permanently block them off cause sunshine is nice at times. |
Thanks! Yes, it's been quite a journey to say the least.
The window plugs are basically a frame with 2 sheets of drywall on sitting in it with green glue between the layers. we used the same trunk rubber we used on the doors around the edges as a seal, and heavy duty trunk clasps to latch them tight when we're not tracking. i originally thought we'd have to have a thick layer of ultratouch that would smash up against the outer window from the closed hatch, but it seems to be working well enough without it.
Hope that helps! _________________ www.peapodrecordings.com
