There are several manufacturers listed on newegg. Here's a link: http://www.newegg.com/app/listProduct.a ... 11&order=0

They go from cheap to very not-cheap.

thnx! (that was fast!)

or is that a non-issue? :?:

Man, I have such a rat's nest of cables behind my board and racks that I don't think having the computer nearby is making *any* difference. :D

What I'd like to do eventually is to have an iso rack for the board's CPU, hard disk recorder and computer. That would be nice. Plus it could be a space heater, too.

Who needs analog white noise when you've got interference buzzing every track?!!

Thnx Mark.

Hey that is a pretty cool website with rackmount chassis - but just to be a pain I thought I'd list a few more possibilities. Middle Atlantic Products makes one http://www.middleatlantic.com/dcm/rackmount/chassis.htm and I think Raxxess does as well, but I'm not sure. There are also custom metal shops like Aluma-Graphics in Pittsburgh that build chassis with your choice of layouts and connectors. And for then there is Carillon that builds custom computers into their own rackmount chassis, and they have optimized their computers for music and audio so the chassis is dense and quiet, the power supply is supper quiet and everything is heavily shielded. They are also not as expensive as you'd expect if you are shopping for a new computer anyway. They optimize for your software, or do the complete setup and install if you buy software from them - really pretty cool.

Almost forgot - if you have a macintosh, then www.marathoncomputer.com has either straight up rack ears or full on chassis for 9600, G3 or G4 macs and more. Definitely worth checking out. They can also rack mount monitors, keyboards, and other goodies.
