Thanks for this! I am hoping to take this giant leap myself in about a year and a half... so far your blog has not deterred me, but certainly has given me a lot to think about and plan for. It also makes me glad I won't be building in Brooklyn!!

totally. Good on ya Marc! You're tackling some heavy duty me"men from the boys" stuff for sure. I have zero doubt that all of your hard work and patience - doing it the *right* way the first time - will lead to a thoroughly kick ass studio. Go Marc Go!

Ha. Thanks guys. The secret is generations of severely repressed anxiety and psychopharmocological advances of the last fifty years or so.
I'm basically freaking out on the inside 24/7. I'll post some pics when we start the demo, hopefully next week!

| Sometimes soldering mic cables can send me over the edge; not sure how I'd react to seeing those joists! Really enjoying the blog, hope the fun parts of the construction start soon. |

We just opened up the ceiling on the second floor and it is somehow, which I can hardly believe, worse. It's absolutely amazingly shitty. :) But all of it's fun. Hopefully even soldering the whole place together.

See if you can save any of the walls from the X-ray room. They are lead lined drywall. You really can't beat that for density.
