Tape Op Ezine #20 nitpick

Post by Osumosan » Thu May 26, 2011 6:27 am

Sorry but when you say "Berklee College of Music ... are offering free sample courses through their award-winning online extension school, Berkleemusic.com" and they let you view one lesson, that does not a "course" make.

Free lesson, yes; course, no.

Go ahead hate me, but I used to read a lot of William Safire...

Well, uh, what if we're saying that they are offering courses to thousands of readers? or that you have a choice of course?

Hit the wrong button. Started a new topic instead of replying to this. Well that mucks things up a bit.

Sorry guys! Here's my message:

Well, that is great. It's only that I have a choice of a lesson from a large selection of courses. Still not a full course.

I'm just trying to point out the semantic fallacy. I'm not complaining about what's on offer.
