I want the Devarahi synth book....

Post by JohnDavisNYC » Tue Jul 11, 2006 2:21 pm

does anyone have it/want to make a PDF version of it? A friend of mine has it and I am contemplating making a PDF of it, because I think paying 200 dollars for a used copy of a book that has been out of print for 25 years is retarded.... is anyone else interested in this book? if anyone wants to help with a project like that. And I really don't even care about any legal implications of PDF-ing the book... I don't plan on selling it... it is just a great resource and shouldn't be such an inflated collectors item.

I am definitely interested in this book. I've stopped myself from shelling out $150+ for torn copies of it on eBay for the past 3 yrs or so.

Please keep me informed about the PDFing.

what do you have in mind as far as helping goes?

i'm about to start hand building a modular so this could be useful, but I don?t exactly have a lot of time to devote. i'll do what i can though.

i meant in terms of helping like if anyone else has access to a copy, splitting up the scanning of pages so it's not just me scanning it all. Or if you're in NYC coming over and drinking beer and helping to scan and stuff.

Lots of public libraries have this book. You can probably find one near you via this website -- just stick in your zip code.

since the book is out of print and goes second hand on amazon for ridiculous prices, i decided to scan and pdf it. after all it's a study book, not a collector's book. it turned out to be a 170 mb download (the book is in english, don't mind the dutch language on the site).

study and enjoy!
