Hey Tape Opers,
The producer for a record we start tracking tomorrow has insisted on using a polarity checker such as the "cricket" by Galaxy. Every place in the city was out of it, so we having it over-nighted but won't be showing up til tomorrow afternoon.
Does anyone have one of these we could rent for Friday? Or is there a work around someone knows of? |

Is the producer Steve Jordan? Guitar Center has them; did you think of just buying one for $100 instead of renting?

| Nope, not Steve Jordan. GC and every other pro audio dealer in the city is out of stock on any model of polarity checker. As I mentioned, we have one on order being over-nighted, but I found out last minute about this being a must have and the ordered unit won't arrive until the afternoon tomorrow. The session starts tomorrow at 8 am. Also, for some reason, this invaluable piece of gear that is apparently essential to making records is not being provided by the producer or client... |
