Viva Voce
markjazzbassist wrote:great stuff, i really loved the viva voce article, i had never heard them before, but thanks to that article i'm buying their records and digging in.
the bob clearmountain article was great too.
I just listened to the entire "Viva Voce" album "The Future Will Destroy You" and purchased it. It's a great mixed, engineered, and mastered album. Dig it's sound much better than "Lovers, Lead the Way! / The Heat Can Melt Your Brain" and "Rose City". Diggin' It!

issue #86 is awesome (as all of them are), and i am totally digging playing with the demo version of presonus' studio one (2) that andy hong recommended checking out in his geeking with gear column. holy sh#*t! this thing is cool! instantly recognized my inputs, and tranzport controller. after about an hour with it i tracked a live drum kit, direct guitar, bass, a live bugle, and vocal track... sounds great! super intuitive to use, especially for those familiar with cubase and nuendo. thumbs up. i am definitely buying this one, and i gave tape op props in the presonus user survey. thanks as always for a fine magazine people.
