Hi there
Logidy.com is making a looper app that will interpret single taps, double taps and held pedal presses in order to carry out different functions for the midi controller pedal they make.
My question is has anyone heard of a midi app for mac that could sit between the pedal and a DAW so that this tiny pedal could have nine (or more?) actions via its three foot-buttons? Via single, double foot presses and holding down the pedal momentarily. I guess it would have midi in and virtual midi out in the box.
I could easily then map them to things like play, stop, record, arm track group, drop marker, go to next/prev marker so that I can keep my back straight while playing drums and recording.
Cheers! |

I don't know about a ready-made solution, but I've done that sort of thing with Max, and recently, with Max for Live (Max patches integrated with and controlling Ableton Live). Max has a learning curve, but the sort of pedal-tap interpreter you're talking about would be a great first project in Max...
